Financial hardship

Here!
Survivor: Jury Duty

Ok, I’m a little disappointed, too.

But seriously, I had to list my financial situation as a hardship — I can’t be selling any more belongings (like camera gear) to survive because… I almost don’t have anything left.

So yeah — the judge accepted it — although now I’m a little bummed — It was so interesting and I was kind of having fun!

The courtroom was packed (over 100 people). I dare say at least 60{82b2ded5ae086bbe31c001f0374079c9503b180ae813ec027549eb44365a9474} of them submitted hardship requests — and most (from what I could tell) got denied.

This was going to be a 3+ week trial, with deliberations to follow. And it was not starting until December. I don’t know anything about the case — and I couldn’t tell you if I did — but 3 weeks? Sounds like a big deal.

And then — what’s the fun of me doing something for 3+ weeks that I couldn’t talk about anyway!

So I’m baaaAAAAaaack. :)

PS. This was only juror group #1 of 3. That’s like over 300 potential jurors!
