A bad day.

Cup-holder vortex

So — I’m going to break character here just make a small point. Although not to make a big deal out of this…

But I am kind of having the worst day.

And I mention this not as any kind of complaint, but simply to let folks know that it DOES happen (to me). I mean, of course it does. So yes, even people who appear perpetually happy do have down days.

And what’s even more interesting (to me) is that I cannot place my finger on any one thing. It’s just a shitty day and I feel terrible.

But it’s OK. It’s just a bad day. Nothing more.

And I know all the tricks — focus on the positive, focus on what I can do, be present in the moment, don’t worry about the future… I’ve got all that. In fact, I’ve written about it here.

But I thought it might be interesting to point that out — you know, because some people think I’m a superhero. And, well, I’m not. Not really.

Or if I am, I’m not today.

And that’s fine. I’ll put my supersuit on tomorrow.

Good days, bad days, contrast in life is important. You learn to appreciate things much more.

That’s it. :)
