Lunchtime on Wildlife Drama Street

So I’m still sitting here on what has turned into Wildlife Drama Street…

First there was this thing between the coyote and the squirrel. And then these two hawks show up and decide to share a telephone pole together.

“What’s up, Ethan?”
“Not much, Tony. Just chilling on this pole.”
“Mind if I join you?”
“Not at all. Not at all.”

So they enjoy a few moments of peace together.

But then this crazy little bird — who I have nicknamed Inigo — shows up and decides he does not approve. At all.

And to express his disapproval, Inigo repeatedly chirps bird profanities and dive bombs these hawks — who don’t seem like they care one bit.

“Nice weather we’ve been having.”
“Sure is, mate!”
“I could really go for a nice chipmunk right about now.”
“With a side of squirrel!”
“Yesss! Sooo good.”

So they continue to chill — talking about movies and skateboarding and Hawk stuff.

Meanwhile, Inigo is having a major meltdown — spewing things like, “My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father! Prepare to die!”

The end.

Lunchtime tales

Sitting on a quiet side street in my car. Windows down. Eating my lunch.

When suddenly I hear this bird let out a loud chirp out my passenger window.

I look over and it’s not a bird. It’s a big grey squirrel on the grass. He’s not paying attention to me though. Which is disappointing, because I’ve done a lot for squirrels in my time.

Anyway, he’s all twitchy and worked up over something. And again, he gives a big chirp.

Then I look out my driver’s side window and their is a coyote sauntering casually down the street. Not a care in the world.

I don’t even know how the squirrel knew he was there, but I’m thinking they know each other.

The end.

The coyote featured in today’s “Lunchtime Tales”.

My phone was on and the button was pressed when he was still coming towards me. It took this long for the shutter to click. Which is also why you don’t see many pics from this phone. O_o
