So earlier this year I went on a mission to get a decent cape photo…
The batteries on my camera remotes were not fresh enough to allow me to capture photos from this distance, so I had to resort to recording video and just walk into the frame and hold a pose.
This low quality shot (is actually a frame from a video) and was captured just before the sun dipped behind the mountains (behind me). This was taken about 70 minutes outside of Las Vegas, near Mojave National Preserve.
I have plans to do another cape shoot, so I can capture a better quality photo (because I really like the concept), but it’s a matter of finding the right semi-secluded scenic area to do it.
