Something out of a dream

something-out-of-a-dream-zero-dean

Weird thought of the morning:

I don’t really think about celebrities all that much, which is why I find it odd that I seem to always be running into them in my dreams.

Last night, after parking my 4Runner in a snowy parking lot at a ski resort, I walked in to find Justin Timberlake sitting at a comfortable corner lounge table with his macbook.

Anyway, we ended up having an interesting casual conversation.

And I’m thinking, “What the heck am I doing at a ski lodge talking to Justin Timberlake!?”

And then I started thinking, what if the people in your dreams that you don’t recognize are real people, too, but they’re simply non-celebrities.

Oh man, what if we’re all playing bit parts in each other’s dreams and we don’t even know it. O_O

Banana peels…

banana-peels-zero-dean

Confession of the day:

As a child, I used to think that slipping on banana peels was going to be a much bigger problem than it turned out to be.

* When I saw this banana peel in the gym parking lot, it immediately reminded me of a similarly themed meme involving quicksand. So yes, it is totally inspired by that — but also prompted by a real-life encounter with a banana peel. :)

Gym marketing logic

Gym marketing logic:

  1. Take an item that costs $X amount at a retailer.
  2. Multiply the price of that item by 300% and establish that as the going price.
  3. Then put up signs that indicate your product is 50% off the price you just established, but only a limited time.

FOOL EVERYBODY!

Nose Trespassing

Weird thought of the morning:

They say that you shouldn’t stick your nose where it doesn’t belong…

And yet, I don’t think I have ever seen a sign indicating one way or the other where my nose should or shouldn’t go.

So for now, I’m taking a very non-committal approach and just leaving it where it is.

Let me repeat that…

I wonder if the people who press their car horns for an excessive amount of time are the same people who continue repeating themselves long after they’ve made their point. O_o

Open ended

open-ended-zero-dean

That awkward moment you’re browsing your old blog posts and come across a parenthesis you forgot to close.

And now that you’ve fixed it, you feel like things are right again in the world and you are now finally rid of that weird feeling you’ve had since that post went up — in March 2013! O_O

That is a really long time to feel like you’ve forgotten to do something. (Thank goodness it’s over.

I’m so relieved. I think I’ll sleep well tonight.

Wait… I’m having it again. O_o
