So after you discuss what you’re calling about, they ask how you’re doing and you answer.

You then ask how they’re doing and they drop the “It’s my birthday” bomb.

Was. Not. Prepared. For. That.

No one should have to say “I’m so sorry.” and “Happy Birthday.” in the same breath.
